We have come to the end of our 2011 summer soccer season. The team has excelled on all fronts. As Bossolona, we would like to take time to kneel down and give thanks to our avid and dedicated support base. We are thankful to the company that came to watch and support us during our soccer games. We are thankful to those who carry our name to their dinner tables at home.
As Bossolona, we value the credence you give us as being flag bearers of our fledgling community. We promise not to disappoint you, and it remains our pledge to present you with an ever growing number of role models for your young and maturing families. So help us God.
We have won everything placed before us this past year.Below is an encapsulation of our achievements:
Bossolona Tournament Champions
ZCUSA Tournament Champions
Edmonton Soccer Association (EDSA) Fall Cup Tournament Champions
EDSA Div 3 Champions – now advancing to Division 2
What makes us good at what we do is not our lack of differences. To the contrary, it is our ability to harness the energy that every element of difference brings. We are products of very many different backgrounds, everyone with his own story to be told to willing and listening friends. No-one of us knows it all. Neither does anyone of us profess to be better than the next, because, when all is said and done, Bossolona remains a product of an enduring friendship of brothers facing the future with the zing of searching dreams.
As the leaders of the team we understand that we don’t just have to lead and hope to be followed. We have assumed a role that says it is alright to walk side by side with those we lead and see the horizon of where we are going at exactly the same time, because Bossolona is an experience of pioneers. We are willfully and deliberately walking uncharted territory, moving the frontier further ahead with every game we play.We came, we saw and we took over.
On a similar vein, our Masters Level team has done just as well, with the available resources of tired legs and balding heads I must mention.Great many thanks to our friends at ZimQueens, Sahara, Afro-sharks and Zimstars. We value your success as well, and remember to call us when you need to clean up the snow sometime. Different coloured uniforms but still born of the same rock; children of the soil, same hopes, same dreams, one country.
The team wishes to thank our committed band of players from Calgary (Dingi and Themba) who almost always battle the distance to come and be part of our tournaments. That level of commitment is the desire of every nation. Thank you for being a part of the journey. We value your sacrifices.
Our unforgiving last breath of thanks goes to our enduring ZCUSA mother body. To you we say it might seem dark and blurry ahead sometime, but the sun never forgets to rise to those who keep their eyes open to see it do so. As Bossolona grows, we wish you a continued fruitful existence as well.
Okusalayo, garayi makashinga, inzima lindlela, ilameva iyahlaba. Topela toswika kene kwatini.
